Boise Foothills: Hikes from City Edge to Summit Views
Boise sits at the base of the Boise Foothills, with trails starting right from neighborhoods. From quick shaded loops to the steep payoff of Table Rock, here are solid options under an hour from downtown.
Boise gives you foothills on tap. No long drives needed. Trails weave through sagebrush and pine right from the city edge, managed mostly by Ridge to Rivers. Expect high desert sun, so pack water and check the forecast. These picks balance strolls with steeper grinds.
Camel's Back Park kicks things off easy. Park in the North End neighborhood and pick your loop. Trails range from gentle rollers to quick climbs with views over brick homes and the valley.
